Free online coin flip
Need to make a quick decision? Our free online coin flip tool gives you a fair, instant heads or tails result with a smooth 3D animation. Whether you're settling a friendly debate, choosing who goes first in a game, or just need a random 50/50 call, this coin flipper has you covered — no app, no sign-up, no ads.
The coin toss has been used for thousands of years to make fair decisions. From the ancient Roman navia aut caput ("ships or heads") to the modern-day sports coin toss, flipping a coin remains the simplest way to break a tie. Our digital version brings that timeless ritual to your screen with satisfying spin sounds and a clink as it lands.
How the flip works
Every flip calls Math.random() and splits the outcome at exactly 0.5, so heads and tails each have a true 50% chance. Each flip is completely independent — the coin has no memory, so a run of five heads does not make tails "due" on the sixth. That is the famous gambler's fallacy, and our tool is built to be honestly, boringly fair.
As you flip, the tool keeps a running tally of heads, tails and total flips, tracks your current streak, and lines up a visual chip history of every result this session. Everything stays in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
How to use it
- Tap the coin or press the Flip Coin button — or just hit Space or Enter.
- Watch it spin and land on heads or tails with sound (toggle it off any time).
- Read your stats — counts, streaks and a chip history build up as you go.
- Share it with the Telegram, WhatsApp, X and copy-link buttons above.
